Children’s Ministry

Children’s Ministry

Cross Point Kids exists to partner with parents to teach children 0-5th grade to love God, love others, and serve the world. Cross Point believes that partnering with parents to disciple children will have a greater influence than us individually working towards the same goal. We provide age-appropriate opportunities for children to be involved in a small group, to worship God in a worship service just for children, and to serve their church family and community. We also provide resources for parents to not only take their child’s Sunday lesson to their home each week, but to also be the primary spiritual leaders for their children. From the smallest baby to the tallest 5th grader, spiritual growth and safety are our top priorities.

Preschool Ministry

Preschool Ministry facilities are located on the first floor in the south end of the building hallway and are available for children ages 0 to 4 years old. Check-in is located at the welcome desk outside of the Pre-School hallway. Here you will be asked to share important information about you and your child to help keep your child safe while they are at Cross Point

Children throughout the Preschool Ministry are taught via curriculum from Gospel Project for Preschool.

Our Preschool Ministry is staffed by a predominantly volunteer team during church-wide services on Sundays and Wednesdays. All team members pass a criminal background check and are trained to work in with preschoolers.

Grow Groups

Age-graded small groups are available during the 9:15 service and use the Gospel Project for Kids. Kindergarten through 5th grade students are immersed in the gospel through every story, theological concept, and call to mission from Genesis to Revelation. Ultimately, the gospel message changes everything; heart transformation can only take place when a child experiences the gospel. Through their teaching, kids will understand the Bible is not just a collection of stories, but one unified story—God’s story of redemption.

Children’s Worship

Children’s Worship is offered on Sunday mornings during the 10:45 service for Kindergarten through 3rd grade children.

Children are invited to worship their God in a kid-friendly atmosphere. They worship through active songs, the giving of tithes and offerings, a Bible-based lesson, and age-appropriate videos and activities. Children’s Worship meets most Sundays of the year with the opportunity for family worship mixed in to the schedule.

Awana is the discipleship and service component of CP:Kids. Awana clubs meet on Wednesday nights during the school year at 6:30. Clubbers participate in Game Time, Handbook Time, and Large Group each week. They have fun, memorize Scripture, and learn to serve others. Children 2 years old – 5th grade are invited to join an Awana club. For more information about Awana, visit their website or you may register your child online.

Special Events

Throughout the year, Cross Point Kids hosts special events for kids, parents, and guests. These events are a great opportunity for parents to spend time with their kids and invite friends to experience Cross Point.

Whatever the season, there is always something going on for you and your children. Get involved in the activities your kids are involved in – you’ll be amazed at how much fun you’ll have together! If you’re interested in working with children at Cross Point or want more information about the ministry, contact our church office at 478-987-1116 or email Ember Hamsley
